GETTING STARTED IS EASY. CLICK THE BUTTON!
If you’ve never done something like this before, the hardest part is usually just walking in. It can feel like a lot - not because you can’t do it, but because you don’t really know where to start, which is the part we care most about.
We want to set people up for long-term success, and this means giving you a real starting point and foundation that makes everything else easier.
From there, we’ll get you into the right starting point so you can actually learn and build from it, instead of just trying to figure things out as you go.
You don’t need to be in shape, or have any experience. And you're definitely not going to hold anyone back. Everyone you see here started in the same place, and we're here to help you through it.
We start with a conversation. You'll book a chat with a coach, no pressure or expectations.
It's a chance for us to meet you and for you to get a feel for who we are, and most importantly, whether this feels like a place you can trust and feel comfortable in. We’ll learn a little about what you’re looking for, answer whatever questions you have, and walk you through how everything works .We’ll go over program options and figure out what actually makes sense for you.
When you come in for your first visit, you’ll check in at the front, we’ll sit down and chat. Nothing unexpected, just a clear starting point.
From that conversation, you’ll start in a beginner group.
You’ll be with other people who are brand new, learning the same things at the same pace.
Our cohorts run for 8 weeks, typically 2x per week. You start together, build together, and finish together.
We guide you through the fundamentals — how to move, how to train with a partner, what you’re trying to do, and how to stay safe while doing it. It’s structured in a way that helps you build a strong foundation. In both Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, the focus early on is learning how to be a safe, reliable training partner while starting to build a basic understanding of the discipline.
If the beginner group doesn’t work for your schedule, private lessons are an option to get you ready for the main program.
By the end of your Intro Cohort, you’ll have a much better sense of what you’re doing and what training actually looks like.
Before you move into regular group classes, we’ll sit down with you and talk through your next steps based on your goals, your schedule, and your experience so far.
From there, things start to open up a bit more. Training becomes more consistent, progress builds over time, and you start to settle into it — and ideally, have a lot of fun while learning a new skill.
Do you have experience and looking for a new home gym?
You’ll know pretty quickly if a place feels right, and we want Combat Arts Academy to feel like home.
We care a lot about what happens on the mats — good partners, people who train with intention, and a balance between structure and actually letting you work.
If that sounds like what you’re looking for, reach out. We'll get some information from you, and get you in to meet the head coach and try out a class.

The owner of the gym is building a culture where inclusivity is more than just a concept, it's a way of life. Where you can be trans, genderqueer, a woman, a kid, a mom, an older person, whatever, and you're welcome...I've never had a community like this before and y'all are the ones that built the space for it to happen.

Finding a gym that caters to an entire family’s needs is rare, but CAA has mastered it. We’ve been training here for years, and it’s become a cornerstone of our family routine...My husband also loves the training and consistently gets a fantastic workout.... It is truly unheard of to find a place that fits all of us so well. Highly recommended!
